Abby Turner Morton is a partner and planning director at Goldman Financial Planning, bringing to the company more than 20 years of experience in financial services. Abby has been providing fee-only financial planning services since 2004 when she started her own business as an independent financial planner.
Abby joined forces with her friend and colleague Michael Goldman and the Goldman Financial Planning team in 2018. Their like-minded values and commitment to providing accessible financial planning and advice made it easy to integrate Abby’s firm with Goldman Financial Planning. Abby manages the company’s Bangor office and serves clients as needed in the Falmouth office.
Abby welcomes and enjoys working with clients of all types, regardless of age, assets or level of financial expertise. Her comprehensive financial planning services are available using a project-based or hourly model, giving clients added flexibility. Because Goldman Financial Planning’s approach is planning-centric, clients are not required to have wealth to begin working on their financial plan. The ability to meet clients where they are in their financial lives is central to how Abby begins a financial planning relationship.
Clients can receive assistance with their investments, retirement planning, cash flow and budgeting, debt reduction, and much more. Clients help create their own financial plans and collaboratively provide direction to address areas that are most important in their current season of life. Because Abby’s compensation comes directly from her clients, her only responsibility is to her clients.
As a member of the Garrett Planning Network, Abby is committed to the fee-only model of providing independent, objective financial planning services and advice to people from all walks of life. She is also a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), a professional organization promoting fee-only, client-centered comprehensive financial planning
In addition to her work as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, Abby is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®) professional. This certification gives her specialized capabilities for assisting clients in transition as they address the financial aspects of divorce.
