Paula Birmingham, CFP®, Financial Coach, began her career in the finance industry in 2005 with a small investment firm in Portland, Maine. In 2007, she joined what is now Wells Fargo Advisors®. Both companies provided excellent experience but were not the precise match she was seeking. Paula’s goal was to assist others without the need to sell products or acquire assets, so she started her own company in 2012. This enabled her to work one-on-one with clients, coaching them on general financial matters and helping them address a very difficult topic: personal finance. In 2014, Paula was pleased to join Goldman Financial Planning, where she uses her capabilities to assist others on a fee-only basis..
Once called "a therapist for your money,” Paula has always had a strong interest in personal finance. She enjoys the continuous discovery of solutions for clients from college funding to residential communities for senior citizens. Born in Boston, she moved to western Maine with her family at an early age. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern Maine. Paula resided in Colorado and then Connecticut before returning home to Maine.
Paula lives in Cape Elizabeth with her husband and their pampered cat, Strawberry. She enjoys the outdoors, particularly rowing and road cycling. Paula is a longtime member and board member of Portland Community Rowing Association.
