Betsy Williams

Partner | Client Care Director

Betsy Williams is a partner and serves as the Client Care Director at Gather Financial® Planning. Betsy has been with the firm since 2013 and is the first person that most clients speak to when they contact our office. Fielding most of our initial calls, Betsy gathers information to assess planning needs and cost, and determines which advisor on our team is the best fit to assist each client. Betsy is knowledgeable about most everything that we do here and is always happy to answer questions about our planning or investment programs.

In addition to working with prospective clients, Betsy is the primary Client Care professional serving all of our ongoing clients. Betsy enjoys building relationships with these clients, and serves as a second point of contact to their Lead Planner. Helping with everything from scheduling to money movement and account opening, maintenance and record keeping, Betsy is the person who keeps things moving and tidy. In 2018, Betsy passed the Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser Law Exam and registered as an investment advisor representative (IAR).

Betsy holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Syracuse University. Prior to joining Gather Financial® Planning, Betsy worked for eight years in customer support, account management, and traffic management at Designtex, where she gained valuable experience in coordinating project work for large scale, multi-location hotel and retail graphics projects. 

Betsy lives in South Portland, with her husband, daughter, and very fluffy Maine coon cat. An outdoor enthusiast, Betsy enjoys camping, trail running, and foraging for wild mushrooms, and is an amateur beekeeper. To keep her creative spark aglow, Betsy is also in the process of illustrating her first children’s book which she plans to release soon!
